  • NEW! Opportunity Zone Investments

The IRS recently announced some changes to the Opportunity Zone regulations. As a result, almost the entire territory of Puerto Rico is now designated as an Opportunity Zone.

The creation of Opportunity Zones allows U.S. investors to defer all 2018 capital gains for 8 years if the profits are reinvested in an Opportunity Zone and also provides an exemption from capital gains tax on all future capital gains on the invested funds if an investment is held for 10 years, starting in 2018.

  • Qualify for 0% Personal Tax, 4% Corporate Tax

We explain the finer details of Act 20 and 22, and how you can also benefit like many investors already are.

Act No. 20 of 2012, known as the Act to promote the exportation of services, provides attractive tax incentives for companies that establish and expand their export services businesses in the island.

Act No. 22 of 2012, Seeks to attract new residents to Puerto Rico by providing a total exemption from Puerto Rico income taxes on all passive income realized after such individuals become bona fide residents of Puerto Rico.

  • Find Beachfront Properties 50-75% less than Miami

Why buy the top of the market in Miami when you can buy at the bottom of the market in Puerto Rico, with better beaches?

And if you prefer Colonial Homes, did you know the famous Old San Juan is 50% less expensive per sq meter than Cartagena's Old City.

  • The Easiest Overseas Investment

You won't need a visa if you're a US citizens, you don't have to learn Spanish and your investment is in USD, so there's no currency risk.

Also, did we mention the beaches? Puerto Rico is a  diverse island with lots to do besides make money.

  • The Perfect Investment Situation

Depressed real estate prices combined with an established and vital tourism industry means high rental rates for vacation rentals with low acquisition costs.

Buy low and sell high – find out which properties will get you the best return.

  • Leverage the Gap in the Tourism Industry

High prices for standard Hotel rooms and a poor selection of Airbnb rentals offers a mouthwatering investment opportunity.

That's our wheelhouse, and Lifeafar has 10 years of successful experience bridging that gap.
